Located at 42 Railway St, this charming eatery specializes in authentic Vietnamese cuisine, offering a delightful escape for food lovers eager to explore vibrant flavors and comforting dishes.
Stepping into VN Noodle House, you’ll find an inviting ambiance that makes for a perfect dining experience. Patrons rave about the friendly and accommodating staff who greet you with warm smiles, enhancing the overall atmosphere. Customers have noted the surprisingly quiet environment, allowing for an intimate meal shared amongst friends or family.
One of the standout features of this restaurant is the impressive variety of dishes available. From the rich and fragrant pho to delectable rice rolls, each meal is prepared with care and attention, reminiscent of home-cooked meals filled with "Grandma's love." Numerous guests have celebrated the unique touches, like generous servings of sauce, which elevate the dining experience beyond typical Vietnamese fare.
Highlights of the menu include the renowned fried ice cream, a crowd-pleaser wrapped in a crispy filo pastry that significantly undercuts competitors on price without compromising flavor. Many diners, including Wayne Thurlow, have expressed their admiration for this dessert, claiming it rivals some of the pricier versions found elsewhere.
For those seeking savory options, the salt and pepper squid has garnered favorable reviews, paired perfectly with a sweet chili sauce that complements the dish. Additionally, VN Noodle House’s soft spongy fish is another delightful offering, infused with aromatic garlic and onions, though a note of caution about the garlic's texture has been shared by customers!
Mealtimes here reward diners with freshness and comfort, whether you're diving into a bowl of pho or sampling a mango pancake that Connor Elliffe enjoyed so much. The value for money is undoubtedly a key aspect that keeps patrons returning for more, as you can savor an array of options without breaking the bank.
VN Noodle House is not just about food; it offers a culinary journey that fans of Vietnamese cuisine must experience. So if you're in the Liverpool area and in search of a meal that brings joy and warmth, look no further than VN Noodle House. You might just find your new favorite noodle spot!
“ Wanted to visit the thai restaurant next door but it was closed. So came here. Very reasonable price, portion is not too huge, so unusually we ordered 4 dishes in total. All nice. Thanks for serving 2 plates of sauce for the ordered rice rolls so we didnt have to share the sauce. It was a small action but made it special compared to other viet restaurants. Pretty quiet during our visit so we enjoyed the environment very much. Great service, thanks. ”
“ We dropped in here for dessert, fried ice cream, to be exact. I love it when the ice cream is wrapped in filo pastry. This is almost as good as the Holy Basil version at almost half the price. They also have quite a range of noodle and other dishes, so I'll go back to try those again sometime soon. I can't wait to try the pho. The staff were friendly, polite and accommodating and I loved the decor. ”
“ My husband and I absolutely loved this place and will definitely return! Everything tasted great and was delivered very quickly. We got a combo satay stir fry, spring rolls, fried rolls, tom yum chicken soup, and fried ice cream. A complimentary salad and tea were served as well. ”
“ Gorgeous authentic Vietnamese food in the VN heartland of Sydney. Like Marrickville used to serve up before all the hipsters arrived. Tasty lemongrass chilli chicken with rice. My favourite - delish! ”
“ I had my doubts at first when I saw what I ordered but looks can be really deceiving indeed. Delicious and tasty indeed. Highly recommended ”
“ nice pho but wish they had rare beef pho. Loved the mango pancakes. great value for $ ”
“ Eftpos accepted Soft spongy fish with onion and garlic. Salt and pepper squid served with sweet chili sauce ---- Garlic is tough so pick it out. Service blasted right through all orders from other tables. You can expect home style dishes served with Grandma's love. Fried ice cream ($12) is popular ”
“ I'm giving 5 stars with notes so you know what the product is. CHEAP, generous servings, genuine flavours, in a TIRED environment that desperately needs a modern fit out. The tables and chairs are stuck in the 1990s but strangely are spotlessly clean. The rice is spread out on a plate, generous amount but not as attractive as in a bowl. Mongolian beef was delicious but the presentation was as bad as the spread out rice. Generous and delicious but close your eyes. Pho was tasty with huge amounts of bean sprouts. Go to VN Noodle House for generous cheap food but not for presentation or atmosphere. Seriously with the good flavours and generous servings I'm willing to pay more. Just don't expect presentation. Their prices are as stuck in time as their furniture. Lovely motherly ladies running it. ”
